The Art of Slow

Being slow is an art. By this I mean to do things with intention. Such that what you do matters. If a thing is to be done, do it as it is an art, a thing to be done in the best, most beautiful way possible. In a way that when you leave, the light energy, love essence and a teeny piece of your soul is imparted into the energy of the Thing. And by the same notion, let the earth energy, life, simplicity of being impart itself into the cells of your being. In order to become one with this art, One can begin by Pausing, Planning, Prioritizing and (I mean we may as well), Pursuing :) So, in the morning I will list what I desire to accomplish that day. Next, I ponder HOW long each thing will realistically take me, as well as any commitments. Then I pick the THREE things that are important-THESE are the things that WILL get done. This allows me and my children the time needed to be slow and enjoy the Thing. The Key to this Art being meaningful is to say no, not add other stuff to your list for that day because you "accomplished" the other things. IF adding one item, these are things that easily bring joy, ease, and connection among those involved/present. For instance, I may want to work on my website while my children are napping, which is not on my list of 3, I may choose to do so, AS long as I am not needing a nap myself. If I need a nap, I nap. I will write down to work on my website, and make it a priority the next day. Thus, I am rested and can be present in a positive way for others the rest of the day. Choosing slow begins with no. This may mean my house will be messy a few days-or weeks, while we adopt a new, meaningful life, with meaningful interactions, with less of who we aren't and more of who we are.
